Poznań rediscovered – International Students explore the city with Welcome Point
As part of the ‘Welcome Point – PULS space, your space’ project, run by the International Relations Office, four tours around the city of Poznań took place on 10–11 and 17–18 October, organised for international students commencing first- and second-cycle degree programmes taught in English, as well as students participating in the Erasmus+ programme. The walking tours were conducted in English and led by a licensed guide.
During the tour, the participants had the opportunity to explore the most interesting parts of Poznań, its rich history, architecture, and legends. The trip route covered major city landmarks, including the Great Theatre (Teatr Wielki), the Polish Theatre (Teatr Polski), Royal Castle (Zamek Królewski) and the Old Market Square (Stary Rynek).
The trips were not only an occasion to get to know the history and cultural heritage better, but also a great opportunity to integrate students from different parts of the world, to meet new people and to discover the city together, the city which for the time of studies, became their new home.
We are really grateful to everyone for such a big interest and an active participation in the tours! We’re happy that the event met with such a positive response. We hope that the trips not only helped students to explore Poznań, but also gave them a sense of belonging to the academic community.
We’d like to invite you today to take part in the upcoming events and initiatives organised by Welcome Point as part of the ‘Welcome Point – PULS space, your space’ project.
See you on our upcoming events!
