PULS ranked first in Poland for agricultural and life sciences – RESEARCH.COM ranking
The Poznań University of Life Sciences maintains its high position in the latest Research.com Best Universities by Subject ranking, which rates universities' research output based on citation metrics, publications and the so-called D-index (Discipline H-index). The results confirm PULS’s particularly strong presence in the life sciences, agricultural sciences and veterinary sciences.
The Poznań University of Life Sciences scores highest in disciplines that for years have been its strongest research areas. In the Plant Science and Agronomy ranking, PULS takes first place in Poland, and 343rd worldwide. The university also maintains a high ranking in the field of Animal Science and Veterinary Science, where it is ranked 2nd in the country and 333rd globally. In the field of Ecology and Evolution, the Poznań University of Life Sciences is ranked 5th in Poland and 634th globally, confirming its stable position amongst the leading national research institutions in this discipline.
PULS position in the Research.com ranking is directly linked to the academic output of its scientists, whose publications and citations form the basis of the bibliometric analysis. The ranking recognises the achievements of researchers such as Prof. Piotr Tryjanowski (Ecology & Evolution), Prof. Henryk Jeleń (Chemistry), Prof. Damian Józefiak (Animal Science), as well as Prof. Mirosław Mleczek, Monika Gąsecka, PhD, and Prof. Jan Bocianowski in the field of Plant Science and Agronomy.
The overall output of PULS researchers included in the ranking comprises over 1,500 scientific publications and more than 44,000 citations.
