The Project EU partnership to protect agricultural land in the face of climate and environmental challenges. Caring for future generations, ProLand (nr 2024-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000252809)

The Project EU partnership to protect agricultural land in the face of climate and environmental challenges. Caring for future generations, ProLand (nr 2024-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000252809) aims to increase awareness, knowledge, competence and develop management skills in the face of the impact of climate change on agriculture and the legal measures put in place to protect it by conducting a new interdisciplinary educational module among graduate students on quantitative and qualitative conservation of agricultural land towards environmental and climate challenges, strengthening teachers' competencies in this area and stimulating sensitivity to social responsibility.

ProLand brings together universities from Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Poland and Ukraine in educational activities in the field of quantitative and qualitative protection of agricultural land so that future generations can benefit from it. Among our partners there are representatives from Università Roma Tre (Italy), Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia), Universidad De Almeria (Spain), Poznań University of Life Sciences (Poland) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine). Our team is interdisciplinary and includes lawyers, economists, soil scientists, naturalists and management specialists.

Our activities include:

  • preparation and conduct of educational module,
  • preparation of master theses,
  • conducting training sessions for teachers,
  • conduct university-wide educational activities (workshops) on World Soil Day,
  • creation of a virtual platform, a living laboratory for agricultural land conservation and a related Smartphone application,
  • preparation of educational materials and dissemination of project issues,
  • organization of dissemination events

The planned total cost of implementing the Project amounts to EUR 250 000,00.

The project's social media channels are a space for sharing news about ongoing activities, information about events, workshops, and conferences, as well as research results and educational materials dedicated to the protection of agricultural land and sustainable soil management in the context of climate change.

There you will find, among other things:

  • current information on the progress of the project,
  • reports from international events,
